Defining Mission and Vision

• Mission and Vision are related but distinct.
• Mission is a general statement of ministry
  objectives. It states who you wish to reach and
  what the church hopes to accomplish. It is
  basically a definition of ministry.
• Vision is a specific, detailed statement of
  direction. It is a clear mental image of a
  preferable future imparted by God.

The Mission of the Church of God is

• To Perpetuate the full gospel of
• Jesus Christ in the Spirit and
• Power of Pentecost.
• (Matthew 2819-20 Acts 21-4, 6, 13-18)

IMPORTANCE OF VISION

• God imparts a spiritual vision to his called and
  chosen people to enable them to know and do his
  will.
• God-given vision is what lifts the believer from
  the level of ordinary and enables them to achieve
  great things for God.
• Vision arises out of a burden to know and do the
  will of God and to become whatever He wants us to
  become.
