Survey performed to build the capacity and
influence of maritime security in the East Africa
littoral. CAW evaluated KNAVs current
assets, infrastructure and support requirements
for their small craft littoral operation
capability

Summary of Accomplishments

• CAW
• Maintained a constructive dialogue with Kenya and
  other participating USG entities to promote
  mutual understanding
• Proposed assisting Kenya with education and
  training opportunities to support its development
  of national policy and technical expertise in
  littoral operations designed to protect its
  national interest
• Set constructive engagement conditions to
  encourage Kenya to take an active role in
  coalition and regional cooperation
