5SENIOR CITIZENS ECUACATION IN CATALONIARESULTS
- We have noticed that in a few years we have done
a very big step, because actually we are in a
similar level than other countries that have a
very old democracy. - The great number of programmes about senior
citizens developed by organisations as well as
for the Autonomic and Local Institutions, makes
us to reaffirm the big effort that our country is
doing in this field.
6SENIOR CITIZENS ECUACATION IN CATALONIARESULTS
- As an example, in 1995, European Association for
Education for the Adults (EAEA), edited a video
with good practices of senior citizens education
in Europe. In that moment, it wasnt so
interesting, but now, they are very attractive. - Some other examples
- The organization AVISMON CATALUNYA does courses
for old people to learn how to take care of or
how to help other old people with dependence. We
discovered this experience in The Netherlands . - Les dones del 36 (Women from 36), who dedicate to
give conferences to schools and colleges
explaining their knowledge gained from experience
during the Spanish Civil War - Activities of laughing therapy. We discovered
this activity in Sarbruquen (Germany). - Memory Museum, within the Cultural Center of the
municipality they do Conferences, exhibitions
carried out by senior citizens - Tardor magazine, at a regional level, which is
published by senior citizens. Edited by FATEC
(Federation of Associations of Third Age of
Catalonia) - El Roure magazine, edited by the Third Age
Municipal Council of Girona -
