Title: Governors Conference on Economic Development

1
  • Governors Conference on Economic Development
  • August 27, 2007

2
  • Missouri Toolbox 2.0 is based on proven systems
in place in Utah, Iowa, and Montana.
  • The original development relied heavily on the
input of actual users and is extremely User
    Friendly.
  • The search results we show later in the
presentation are the result of test data from
    Utah and/or Iowa.

3
Proven Platform
4
  • We will weigh all recommended changes against the
MUST HAVE vs LIKE TO HAVE criteria before
    implementing.
  • All MUST HAVE changes will be implemented prior
    to roll-out.
  • LIKE TO HAVE changes will be considered at a
    later date.
  • We may consider changing policy to match the
existing rules in the system as opposed to making
changes to the system to match policy.

5
Changes to make it MISSOURIs System
  • Changes will be made as we determine what we MUST
HAVE versus what we would LIKE TO HAVE

6
Public Access Side
  • Replacement for our current GreatHires

7
  • The opening page invites the existing user to
    login.
  • New jobseekers are invited to browse job openings
  • Links are provided for jobseeker and employer
    registration.

  • Like the existing GreatHires, registration for
    employers is simple and quick.
  • Basically the same information employers are used
    to giving us now.

10
Quick Registrationfor Employers

  • The employers homepage is functional and
uncluttered, providing access to job orders.
  • The employer can opt to author orders which will
    be managed only by staff.
  • Employer-managed ordersworked entirely by the
    employer
  • Career Center-managed orderemployer writes the
order then sends it to the career center for
    staff to work the order.
  • Job Order Tips is a new feature that helps
employers learn how to write effective job
    orders.

12
Uncluttered Home Page
13
  • Entering a job order is straightforward, with
    expected requirement information.
  • New features include qualifying the order for
    skills and certifications.
  • Employer is given a choice of allowing any job
seeker to see the contact information, or
restrict it to only those seekers whose profiles
    indicate they meet the qualifications

14
Entering Job Order
15
  • Blank areas of the job order are populated with
shadow text offering suggestions of information
    to complete the box.

16
Entering Job Order
17
  • Employers can select from search titles suggested
by their job order title or from a complete
    listing of job titles.
  • Suggested titles display the number of job
seekers searching for each of the titles.

18

jobseekers matching search title)

  • Refine Search button is on the original job
    order
  • The employer can adjust any of the parameters of
the job order, with the exception of the search
title, without changing the published order.
  • This enables the employer to search the order
more effectively or judge the effectiveness of
    proposed changes in the order.

20
Refine Search Allows the employer to modify
search without changing the open job order.
21
  • Jobseeker registration follows a logical
    progression of eleven steps.
  • A jobseeker who is interrupted during
registration is returned to the incomplete step
    on the next login.
  • Jobseekers who have not logged in to the system
in some time are prompted to review the
registration steps to encourage them to update
    data.

  • Employers can set an order as Qualified, which
means that job seekers who do not meet one or
more of those qualifications (skills, education
etc.) can not access the contact information.
  • This message informs the job seeker that he or
she does not qualify and tells which items are
    not met.
  • It prompts them to update their profile if they
    have the required qualifications.
