Homes

• The tiguas are call puebla Naives because of
  their home.
• Related families could live in the homse.
• As time went on their publos crumbuld and they
  begain living in small huts called jacales.

How They Lived

• They were farmers and hunters
• They grew corn .and raised sheep.
• They got water from the Rio Grande River.
• Women planted the vegetales and cotton.
• Used wool from the sheep.to make their clothes.
• Children worked in fields and the girls helped
  with the cotton

Beliefs

• The Tiguas believed they came to be on Earth
  because a badger dug a hole.
• People grabbed a tree limb to pull themselves out
  of the underground.
• They mixed their beliefs with the Spanish
  Christians.
• Celebrations were about harvests and hunting.
• The Tiguas believed that St. Anthony would
  protect them and their homes.
• June 13th they honor St. Anthony every year.
