Programme of studies
  • Course Basic of Constructing
  • Spatiality Teacher on Machinery
  • Educational Level Bachelor

Higher School of Transport 2007

II. Course Objectives
  • The course Basic of Constructing is common
    engineering subject with main objectives
  • 1. A system of theoretical knowledge about common
used elements and mechanisms to be mastered by
    students.
  • 2. Technical skills and abilities to be created
for solving practical problems in Machinery.
  • 3. An approach for complex constructing of
technical appliances and elements to be mastered.

4
III. Annotation
  • This course offers opportunities for development
and to extend the engineering knowledge given
during the previous common educational and
    technical training courses like physics,
    chemistry, material strength, mechanics,
engineering drawing etc. Students obtain and
master knowledge and skills for using and
applying engineering approaches for solving a
    wide circle of technical problems.

5
III. Annotation
  • Basic criteria for design and workability,
    geometrical requirements for this workability
realization are studied during the course. Wide
spread in practice machines and machine details,
like gears, axes, shafts, joints and connectors
are investigated. The knowledge obtained is used
for self dependant training by constructing of
    technical construction. During this training
students work independent and have effective
    professional dialog with machine specialists.

6
Methodical Recommendations. Lectures
  • The basic training forms are lecturers,
    workshops, seminars and training
    project/assignment.
  • By the lectures the basic theoretical
characteristics and constructive features of the
machine elements and mechanisms and their
application in machinery are investigated. The
lectures are supported by special photos,
schemes, animation in order a wide variety of
    existing constructions to be presented.

7
Methodical Recommendations. Workshops
  • By the workshops students practically investigate
machine elements and constructions. They have
direct contact with the object of investigation
and during the workshops students confirm/make
    assure the correspondence between theoretical
expressions and actual results. Students obtain
certain manual skills to work with machines and
to use computer equipment for measurement purpose
    as well.

8
IV. Methodical Recommendations. Seminars
  • A few theoretical problems are investigated
during the seminars. The objectives for
investigations are connected to the project that
    students should prepare self independent.
Students work together with machine specialist.

9
IV. Methodical Recommendations. Training project
  • Every student obtains individual assignment for
training project in the semester beginning.
Common consultations is given to all student in
beginning about the way and sequences of work,
literature, final results expected and criteria
for evaluation. During the students work self
dependant and present their results with a
lecturer/machine specialist. At the end of
semester the lecturer make the training project
    evaluation.

10
IV. Methodical Recommendations. Final.
  • The subject is (?). Semester. The course ends
by theoretical exam/test. The final score is
calculated on the base the results that students
have during the entire training including the
    training project.
