  suggests more-aggressive power management for

What is Energy Star 4.0?

• Energy Star is a logo program from the US
  Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
• It certifies that a system ships in a low power
  consumption mode
• The requirement is under 15 watts in sleep mode
  and sleep after 30 minutes of no activity
• We use about 5 watts in sleep on most systems
  (66 better than the standard)
• We are changing to sleep after only 15 minutes
  (we expect this to be required later this
  year-Dell is leading)
• The Standby timer is set from Never (the non
  Energy Star Mode) to 15 Minutes
• A Energy Star Logo (sticker) is applied to the
  system
• Keyboard/Mouse wake from Standby is enabled for
  systems with PS/2 Keyboards and Mice
• Keyboard/Mouse wake is NOT factory enabled for
  systems with USB Keyboard/mice
