  • In this clip, the sound and light are terrible,
    the camera is shaky, and the subjects head is
    cut off by the top of the shot. The purpose of
    this video clip is to show what can happen when
    audio, light, stability, and composition are
    neglected in shooting video.

Shooting Quality Video
  • Audio- Get great sound!
  • Light- Get the right light!
  • Stability- Get clear, steady footage!
  • Composition- Think about composition!

Audio- Get Great Sound!
  • Keep the subject close.
  • Eliminate background noise.
  • Use a microphone.

Video Clip
  • This video clip has the same problems as the
    first, only the sound has been corrected. To
    improve the sound quality, an external microphone
    has been used and the camera has moved closer to
    the subject.

Light- Get the Right Light!
  • Determine origin of light.
  • Get camera mode.
  • Avoid bright sunlight.
  • Turn on lights.
  • Avoid backlight.

    first, only the sound and lighting have been
    corrected. To improve the lighting, all of the
    lights in the room were turned on. Also, the
    subject was moved away from the window that
    caused the bright sunlight to fall onto her face.
