The Sea Log Project
We are in the final process of assembling an
original project that we believe is consistent
with the quality and type of educational ideals
benefiting the environment. Sea Log includes
many of the elements of realism that have become
popular in recent years, while taking an entirely
different approach not previously explored
environmental awareness developed and recorded by
children as a model of stewardship. As we get
ready to embark on a life at sea aboard our 53
foot sailing vessel, two boys, Alexander (7) and
Nicholas (5), will be Ocean Junior Ambassadors
documenting and sharing their learning adventures
in the open ocean through a logbook, with planned
coverage on a dedicated website, in published
form, digital video, and photography.

The Boys

  they were six months old.

• They hold valid entertainment work permits.
• They will be home-schooled with a natural
  emphasis on the environment.
• They will benefit from a first-hand approach to
  various fields of science.

  children.

Preliminary Timetable
After we deliver our yacht to her permanent berth
in Southern California, we will finalize our
voyage and Sea Log preparations, confirm
sponsorships, establish home-schooling programs,
initiate web and press coverage, and go through
an extensive check-list before finalizing our
departure date at the end of 2003. Once at sea,
our itinerary will strongly depend on weather
conditions and supplies available at each port.
