Wales has retained many of its traditions which
have remained the same for many years, more so
than other parts of UK The most obvious and one
seeing a huge surge in interest is the language

• As a college we actively
• Include and promote the Welsh language and
  culture
• Encourage participation in the language schemes

Community Learning

• 90 of our Welsh language classes are delivered
  in the community
• College supports local events that promote
  traditions and language
• Tutors are encouraged to use language phrases
  where they feel comfortable

Information Technology

• Beginners IT courses
• Assessments on local castles
• Exercises on local historical events
• Learners encouraged to use local landmarks/
  events for their work
• Mold Riots, local to Outreach Centre
• Local History project around outreach centre

Catering

• Cookery demonstrations
• All use local produce
• Recipes are given local flavour / twist
• Health and Safety Courses
• Delivered in rural areas to promote safe handling
  of produce in local/rural food co-ops

Welsh Language

• Language classes makes use of traditions within
  learning
• Extra classes delivered to link in with national
  festivals
• Learners encouraged to take part in festivals to
  enhance their study
• Take the classes to areas where traditionally
  language was first language spoken to ensure it
  continues

The way forward.

• Continue to promote our traditions to enhance
  community learning
• Offer learners the choice to develop their Welsh
  language skills
• Take our learning to rural areas to offer the
  same level to all our learners
