Which person do you think is smarter?
  • We will read two passages from a class essay by
two different authors, and the class will vote on
    which author seems smarter.

6
Author A
  • It was 335 pm on Friday, December 19th, the
last day before Winter Break. The afternoon
announcements had just ended, but my heartless
teacher still made us sit quietly in our seats,
all of our eyes glued to the second hand of the
    clock.
  • When the bell finally rang, I grabbed
  • my backpack, dashed out the door, and met my
friends in the spillout. Unfortunately, I still
had to be at All Stars for two more hours, but I
knew that the two weeks of freedom that I had so
patiently waited for was so close I could almost
    taste it.
