Atlas
  • A book with a collection of maps.
  • A few different maps are political maps, physical
    maps, elevation maps, natural resource maps,
    population maps, and climate maps.

Encyclopedia
  • A book or set of books containing articles, in
    alphabetical order, that provide information
    about different subjects.
  • For example, you could find information about
    Mexico, such as history, natural resources,
    culture, population, and agriculture.

Almanac
  • A book published once a year containing lists,
    charts, and other information about different
    fields.
  • Examples of this would be calendars, weather
    forecasts, statistical information, such as the
    number of people who live in a square mile.
  • Mexico has 139 people per square mile and the
    U.S. has 79 people per square mile.

  • There are non-fiction books that provide
    information about people, culture, history,
    politics, geography, and many other topics.
