- Designed to promote discussion on the
considerations for selecting Age Ranges for a
National Scout Organisation - 8 Considerations taken from the RAP methodology
(WOSM) - Respect the Development Stages of the child
- Take account of exiting Social Groupings
- Base Scouting on Peer Groups
- Maintain a good balance between the Sections
- Be Flexible to cater for individual needs
- Propose a reasonable length of Scout experience
- Senior Sections Presents a relevant programme
for them - Take account of Adult Resources
- Also to gather data on existing Age Ranges
- And to promote discussion of considerations for
choosing Section Names
