Who are we?

• The Site Library Team are responsible for the
  physical libraries in NHS Greater Glasgow and
  Clyde.
• Most of the Site Library Managers are responsible
  for providing services across two or more
  physical locations and managing the staff in
  those libraries

What do we do

• Run the day to day Library Service
• Provide the team that answers your site/everyday
  enquiries
• Evaluate, order and provide resources eg books,
  computers etc
• Do local ad-hoc training
• Liaise with local site users eg site Library
  Committees
• Promote and market the local site library and its
  resources

Some of the things weve been doing

• The new Stobhill ACH library opened 26th May
  2009
• The new Victoria ACH library opened 22nd June
  2009
• Audit of physical resources looking at the
  physical environment and equipment in the
  libraries

Some of the things were been doing (2)

• Completed the transfer of RAH library catalogue
  from UWS Tallis to NHS GGC Olib
• Evaluated if the stock we hold at the moment is
  appropriate for each specific site
• Rationalised both current and archive journal
  titles to match the location of clinical services

Some of the things were going to be doing next
year

• Complete re-evaluation of our current journal
  holdings ready for consortium purchasing with NES
• Carrying out surveys about specific libraries to
  help improve the quality and appropriateness of
  our services
• Making sure that the right resource is available
  on the right physical site
