Current FITS initiatives include
The FITS team is currently conducting a review of
the Adam A-700 jet syllabus. The FITS team is
also working with Mooney in the development of
their first FITS-accepted training program. The
FAA is currently working with its own training
providers under the 4040 Program to incorporate
scenario based training and other FITS tenets
into Inspector recurrent training.

FITS successes
Middle Tennessee State University now has a
FITS-accepted private/instrument course. Diamond
Aircraft recently received FITS acceptance for
their Garmin G-1000 DA-40 Transition Training
Program. Cirrus recently received FITS
acceptance of their Cirrus Standardized
Instructor Guide/Transition Training
Syllabus. Cessna is using its FITS transition
program for the G-1000 equipped C-182.

In the works
Develop a National TAA Performance Lab (TAAP Lab)
to perform detailed studies of several facets of
Scenario Based Training (SBT). Establish a
central database for students trained under FITS
to compare to traditional training programs for
continuous assessment of the program.
