1How to use the VLE
2Go to www.alsg.org/vle by typing it into your
browser bar. It will not work with a search
engine.
3If its your first time on the site click on
create new account
4Fill in new account details and click create my
new account
5A message will be sent to your email with a link
to verify your account.
6Use the link in your email to get back to the VLE
7Find the course you want to enrol on. If you
cant find it in your course category list go to
all courses
8Enter the enrolment key given to you by your
co-ordinator (all in uppercase)
9You are now enrolled. You will see the main page
for your specific course. This includes the
post-course feedback questionnaire and the
completion certificate and is therefore one you
should visit again post course. You should now
go back to the front page by clicking on VLE.
10You will then see the front page and the my
courses box which shows all the courses you are
enrolled on. Click on your pre-course in my
courses
11You will see the front page of your pre-course
learning. Start with the introduction and follow
the topics through.
12Once you have completed all of the topics, you
are ready for the MCQ
13Once you have completed the MCQ and submitted it,
a certificate link will appear in box 3.
14Print out the certificate and take it with you on
your course to prove you have completed the
pre-course learning.
15Once you have completed your course and all
administration work has been completed by ALSG,
you will received an email informing you that
your completion certificate is ready to be
printed. You will need to access the VLE and
return to your main course page. You will find
the certificate link in box 5.
