Artist Statement
  • DJ Hunter
  • Artist Statement
  •
  • My life as an artist has been a learning
experience for me. I also feel like I have grown
as an artist over the years. Starting my art in
the 4th grade drawing Pokemon characters just to
fit in with other artist I discovered that I had
talent. Today my artwork is more realistic
instead of cartoon characters. I want all of my
viewers to be able to see the time and effort
that I put into my artwork.
  • My peers are the ones who inspire me the most in
art. When I see another piece of artwork that is
amazing, it is my goal to create something just
as good as them. Looking back at my previous
artwork also inspires me to improve or create
something just as well. I dont think that I have
improved my art skills much because I have not
done a lot of artwork in the past. I have not
been doing art on a regular basis for a long
time. I am still discovering new things that I am
good at. My art started with just sketching from
time to time but now I can do shade, color, and
    different types of paints.
  • I hope I will be able to improve my art skills to
a level that no one has reached before. I never
thought that my art would go past sketching
cartoon characters and people. There are still a
lot of mediums that I have not tried using. I
hope to make people happy one day with my talent.
I will always remember the teachers I had that
pushed me to continue doing art and taking me to
the next level. I can guarantee that I will
continue to improve in my art skills. I can also
promise myself that I will continue to make great
paintings that will amaze people. I hope to meet
more people and teachers that will teach me and
give me tips on how to improve in my work.
