To create a certificate using PowerPoint:

• To create a certificate using PowerPoint
• Apply a design template using the FORMAT Menu.
• IMPORTANT!!! Select a template that uses no
  color in the background and minimal color in the
  template.
• Note This template would be a good one for
  certificates as long as you change it to black
  and white. Go to VIEW menu gt Black White.
• Use the INSERT menu for
• Text boxes
• Word Art (INSERT gt PICTURE gtWORD ART )
• Clip Art (INSERT gt PICTURE gt CLIP ART)
• To use clip art from the website, simply RIGHT
  CLICK gt COPY over the item. Then open your
  certificate document and RIGHT CLICK gt PASTE in
  the document.
• Modify a pre-existing certificate from the Awards
  Website for Teachers using the options above to
