  multicultural communities, and fulfill our
  humanitarian obligation, the United States should
  grant illegal immigrants a path of citizenship.

  vegetables.
• Better Organic fruits and vegetable are better
  for the environment and the people who eat them.
• Best Organic fruits and vegetables are better
  because they improve soil quality and are free of
  pesticides and hormones.

• Poor The U.S. is currently involved in a war in
  Iraq.
• Better The U.S. is currently involved in an
  ineffective war in Iraq.
• Best Because of the uncertainty of victory and
  the high casualty rate, the United States should
  immediately begin a phased withdrawal from Iraq.

• Poor Modern day athletes overuse
  performance-enhancing drugs.
• Best Congress should enact legislation to
  regulate the use of performance-enhancing drugs
  in athletics because doing so would ensure the
  integrity of the games and the status of the
  players as role models.

• Poor Ninth graders in several states must
  declare majors.
• Better Ninth graders should not be required to
  choose majors because it puts too much pressure
  on them.
• Best Because of future job uncertainty and a
  lack of maturity, ninth graders should not be
  required to choose majors

• Good The death penalty is cruel and immoral
  therefore, it should be abolished by law.
• Good As a result of overcrowded death rows in
  U.S. prisons and countless appeals, Congress
  should enact legislation to enable states to
  carry out sentences more efficiently.
