Achievement Series

• Achievement Series has been purchased to support
  classroom teachers formative assessment efforts.
• One of the most common requests is a comparison
  of pre and post test scores.
• The following slides will guide you through the
  steps for viewing two assessments side by side.

Comparing District Pre and Post Test Results

• 1. Achievement Series does not calculate gains
  for you but you can view a comparison of your
  district pre and post tests.
• 2. Click on Classroom Area on the left side of
  your screen.

• 3. The default view will be of your students and
  all of the assessments they have taken.

• 4. To limit the results that are displayed, click
  on the Subject drop down menu and select your
  subject area. Achievement Series will recalculate
  and display the tests your students took in that
  subject area.

Summative vs Formative Assessment

• When the baker tastes the cookies, thats
  formative assessment
• when the customer tastes the cookies, thats
  summative assessment.
