• In 1979 James D. Armstrong was highly skilled in
  computer programming and he was even wanted by
  seven companies.
• Rather than taking a job he formed the JDA
  software group in 1978, and became one of
  Canada's largest IBM midrange software providers.

• 2003
• JDA acquired the assets of Engage, Inc. to expand
  the Portfolio Revenue Management suite with
  proven advertising, marketing and promotions
  software.
• JDA promoted Hamish Brewer to CEO, who succeeded
  James D. Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong will continue
  as Chairman of the Board.
• JDA clients, CVS and a key trading partner, won
  the 2003 VICS Collaborative Commerce Achievement
  Award by leveraging JDAs Collaborative
  Solutions 2003 win marks the third consecutive
  year that JDA clients have won this prestigious
  award.
• JDA formed a product reselling agreement with
  XcelleNet
• JDA won a Microsoft Retail Application Developer
  (RAD) Award for a Vista Supply Chain Solution
  within the 'best solution in the supply chain'
  category.
• IBM recognized JDA with two 2002 IBM StoreProven
  achievement awards.

About Apple Com.

• Steven Wozniak and Steven Jobs were the true
  founders of Apple. In 1976, Steven Wozniak
  designed what is now known as the Apple I. Jobs
  convinced Wozniak that he needed to try to sell
  the machine, and on April 1, 1976, Apple Computer
  was created.

Apple computers

• In December, 1983, Apple Computers ran its'
  famous "1984" Macintosh television commercial, on
  a small unknown station solely to make the
  commercial eligible for awards during 1984.
• The next month, Apple Computer ran the same ad
  during the NFL Super Bowl, and millions of
  viewers saw their first glimpse of the Macintosh
  computer.
