Study Centers
  • Problem It is a well-known fact that in many
villages, the poor students lack basic facilities
like electricity. In many cases, parents don't
have any education to guide their children in
their studies. They also can't afford to send
them to any private tuition classes or provide
any other additional support. Due to this, many
students are not able to get through even 10th
class. This failure ratio is discouraging other
parents from sending their children to schools.

6
Basic Facilities in Schools
  • ProblemThere are many schools without the basic
    infrastructural facilities like class rooms,
benches and tables, library, science lab, sports
equipment and other essential supplies. Due to
this many schools are unable to provide quality
    education.

Scholarships
  • The objective of Scholarships program is to
create a competitive spirit among students
studying in different schools located in selected
region. Through this program, the poor highest
rank holders are selected for scholarships.
Depending on the progress of these rank holders,
we will also extend support for their higher
education. This program will also encourage the
parents to pay more attention on their children's
education. It will also be helpful for them
financially. Other students will also get
inspired by the achievements of their peers. This
    long-term commitment to students' education
    provides dramatic results.

Support A Student
  • Dropout rate in Indian primary, middle and high
schools, especially in rural areas, continues to
be shamefully high even after 57 years after
independence and in spite of innumerable programs
taken up by the Government. The reasons for such
high dropout rates among village kids include
poverty, lack of awareness about the importance
of literacy, and lack of conducive environment.
The magnitude of the problem calls for our
concerted efforts, not just by government, but
also by all those concerned with the quality of
life of the people. That is why SPREAD INDIA has
been focusing on education with the help of
generous people like you. After discussing with
the schoolteachers and village elders, we believe
that the following will help in lowering the drop
out rates in schools. First and foremost thing
is that we need to extend financial help to kids.
Through our help the school kid can acquire the
most basic things like books, clothes, food and a
conducive environment where the kid can study
    without much distraction.

Adult Education
  • Problem The level of poverty and illiteracy in
India is frightening! More than one fourth of the
population of one billion is poor, and 35 is
illiterate - although among the poorest that
figure is much higher. This illiteracy is leading
to early marriages, over population, poor
sanitation, etc. Literacy is very essential for
the economic development of our country.
Recognizing the need for its improvement,
    various Government and non-Government agencies
have been working for many years and have
achieved some success. However the teeming
millions of rural India still need substantial
help to improve their literacy rate. Realizing
this, SPREAD INDIA is determined to implement
Adult Education Centers Activity aggressively in
    various villages.

Health Camps
  • Problem Many villages lack basic health care
facilities. Poor sanitation is another major
factor contributing to health hazards. People
need to go to nearby towns even for their basic
health needs. If there is any medical emergency,
they can't afford the associated cost. Hence
there is a need for Primary Health Centers in
each village. Though some villages have Primary
Health Centers for name sake, they don't have
even minimum facilities. In order to fulfill
these needs, SPREAD INDIA has decided to identify
the needy villages and organize health camps time
to time. Providing some basic sanitation
facilities and educating the people to keep their
surroundings safe and clean are important goals
    of SPREAD INDIA.

Rural Infrastructure Development
  • Problem As you are well aware, many rural people
in India are forced to leave the villages and
migrate to the nearest towns/cities because of
the poor infrastructural facilities. Lack of
    drinking water, sanitation, medical facilities,
and lack of basic roads and irrigation facilities
are some of the main reasons why people are
leaving the villages. Spread India recognizes
this situation as a major concern and commits to
get involved in reconstruction of infrastructure
    in our villages.
  • Please let us know if you wish to get involved in
developing in your own village or any other
    village through Spread India.
