2 Geography
The Nile River The Nile River is about 4,145
miles long. It is the longest river in the
world. The Nile gave them rich soil to grow
there crops so they have food. Egypt's two most
important places are the Nile delta and the Nile
valley, all ancient Egyptians depended on the
Nile river for food, water and transportation.
The availability of this unlimited water supplies
allowed the creation of a society witch produced
the wonders of Ancient Egypt. The Nile river was
a swamp land.
3Economics
The people of Egypt used silver and gold for
money, to earn money they would sell slaves,
horses and food in the market. Farmers had to
give the pharaoh a large part of there crop, as
there tax pay, every Egyptian had to pay a large
tax almost every year to help the government.
4Religion and Philosophy
- In there religon they belive that there is a book
of the dead, the book of the dead is about there
pharaohs and what happens to them in the after
life. The book of the dead is in the tomb of Re.
They also belive that they will need all there
things from our life in theres and they would
also kill the wife and servents for him. They
would also belive that there pharaoh needs food
in the after life. They use to mummifi there
pharaohs and here are the steps - All of the organs were taken out exept the haert
for osiris to weight - Then the body is covered in dry nitron.

5Religion and Philosophy
Egyptions built huge pyrimiads for there pharows
for the after life. They left food and dishes and
the king valable pusesions. They would kill the
wife and dauters and some servants so they have
them for the after life. The egyptions believed
that when there gods died that there physical
life is over but there afterlife was beginning.
6Language, Education and Arts
The first type of art work is called a sphinx,
and the second type of art work that is very
common is called hieroglyphics. They were very
fanous for there hyroglifics they were ussally
found in tombsand on the casget.Only boys were
tought education. Expessially the rich. They were
tought to write Hyroglyphics, reading, and arts
and language.

Famliy life The people of eygpt valued family
life, they treasured the childeren, and the
childeren were a great bleasing. The lower class
familys, the mother would always have to raise
the kids. But the wealthy had slaves and
servants, that helped take care of the kids, by
tending there daily needs. If the husband and
wife didnèt have any kids they would pray to the
gods and goddeses for help, the women were
expected to obay there fathers and there husbands
, they were the same like the men in many ways,
young boys learended to trad or craft from there
fathers, young girls worked at home, with there
mothers. The people who could afford school sent
there sons from about age 7. The boys went to
school to learn to study reiligon, reading,
writing and arithmatic. There was no schools for
girls so they were taught at home to read and
write, some girls became doctors. Children were
expected to look after the elderly
pearents. Marrige Girls usally married around
the age of 12. The boys were always a few years
older then the girls when they got married. When
you get married divorce was nnot a opption at
all, if the husband treats the wife badly she may
go to her famliy for help, but if he doesnt
change his attitude a divorce is made. Also the
wife is given custady of the children, Cooking
All the egyptions cooking was done in clay ovins
or over a open fire.wood was used for fuol even
thow it was scarced. Food was baked, bioled,
stewed, fried, grilled and roasted, storage jars,
bowls, pot and pans, latles were used in the
kitchen. Well the wealthy use dishes made of
bronze, sliver and gold. For the drinks beer was
the most rpopular beverage an dbread was the most
important part of the eygptions diet. The beer
was made with barley, the barley was left to dry,
then baked into loafs of beard. The baked barley
loafs were then broken into pieces and mmixed
with the dried grain in large jug off water And
then left to sit ferment.

The Egyptian pharaohs got there slaves to build
pyramids to live in the after life. They built
the pyramids so people could remember how rich
they are. The pyramids were built by taking huge
stones that fit into place. The pyramids were
build for there Pharaohs who were burried there
after they died. The tombs were always robbed by
tomb raiders, they even Stoll they pharaohs
bodies. They thought the bones of the pharaohs
were lucky.
