Using the netTrekker Open Read Aloud Feature

From the Pinpoint All Info Search tab, look for
the netTrekker button

Either enter a keyword in the Keyword search box
or click on a theme and navigate to the
particular topic.

To open the Open Read Aloud feature click on this
button

Highlight text to begin - Read Aloud is
Processing selected text to be read aloud.

The Read Aloud checkbox is unchecked and text
selection will not trigger reading of text. This
allows the user to highlight and copy text
without having the text read aloud, without
closing the Read Aloud feature.

The rate of speech (cadence) can be adjusted by
using this drop down menu. Changes to this will
only take effect on the next playback of audio.
Voice speed cannot be changed during the reading
of a selection.
Processing ... - Read Aloud is downloading and
playing the audio rendition of the selected text.
The Play/Stop button controls the playback of the
selected text. It is always in one of these two
states

Using the Dictionary Hot Key Feature
Clicking on Dictionary button launches a
"dictionary-enabled" version of a website.

Upon arriving to the website, words will become
hot-linked like the word slopes.
When you click on a the hot-linked word, slopes,
you will see a box like the Dictionary Results to
the left.
You may have multiple results for one word.

If within the Dictionary Results there is an
unknown word, you can also click on the unknown
word to view the definition. For example the word
ravine

CHOOSING YOUR DICTIONARY
If needed, you can also select the particular
dictionary for the purpose of translation. The
drop-down menu lets you choose the type of
dictionary you would like to use.
