• The objective of VPL is to clarify, appraise and
  recognise present competences in individuals
• The competences of the participants VPL answers
  the needs of the individual. Individual rights
  and agreements are clearly expressed
• Procedures and instruments ar reliable and based
  on proven standards. Trust is the key concept.
• Assessors and supervisors are competent,
  independent and unbiased. Unnecessary mixing of
  roles must be avoided.
• The quality of APL procedures is assured and is
  continually improved.
