The Context of LHC in France
  • Strong and early support to LHC in the French
    community
  • Ex Lausanne workshop 1984 , 25 physicists
    (CEACNRS) / 96 outside Cern
  • and strong support at the government level
  • Exceptional contribution 70 M
  • 35 M (over index) 7 M (region) 25 M (
    230 man.years, 124 CEA / 106 CNRS)

    in LHC experiments
