  severe respiratory distress. They said she began
  getting sick 2 days ago. Now they can not control
  her temperature. She started having some
  difficulty breathing last night, but was worse
  this morning. She is using accessory muscles to
  breath and has to sit up to maintain her
  respirations. She is in extremis.

  collision where he sustained multiple trauma. To
  OR for exploratory lap due to internal bleeding.
  Spleen removed and bleeding stopped. On vent
  post-op.

  sudden onset of respiratory distress at home. EMS
  intubated and ventilated by BVM. Currently being
  held in the ER awaiting an ICU bed.
