Dr. Qwatra is a well-known medical rescue
management expert having national and
international experience in the field of
providing emergency aid measures. She is a
Medical Anthropologist and holds M.Phil. and
Ph.D. degrees.
As chairperson of Philanthrope she is involved in
a mega project aimed at providing training on
emergency aid measures to the masses. She has
been trained both in India (Red Cross) and abroad
(Safety First Institute, UK) and has worked with
the Royal British Army to get practical
experience in rescue management. She has to her
credit various awards during her education from
Army Public School, Delhi, Miranda House and
Department of Anthropology, University of Delhi.
These include UGC Research Fellowship, All India
Post Graduate scholarship and Miss Science Master
Award.

simple yet essential basics of tackling emergency

patients. Philanthrope comprises of highly
qualified doctors, disaster management experts,
educationists, entrepreneurs, researchers,
parliamentarians and media professionals working
towards the goal of making every Indian prepared
to tackle emergencies.

particularly women and children. - Helping rehabilitate victims of natural disasters
and civil conflict with a specific focus on
neglected groups.
