1CIVITAN
2The (Junior Civitan) Creed
- I am a Junior Civitan
- An aware citizen of today,
- The standing promise of tomorrow.
- I seek to meet the needs of our world,
- To be progressive in a world of change
- With compassion and understanding for
- The values and traditions of the past.
- I value the security of knowing
- That wherever I am
- I will always be within reach

- To make the world a better place.

100 true...
...Before prom we discovered that our waiter....
...Was an SPHS Civitan Before we were born!
5What makes us unique?
- We use our Civitan beach house for inductions,
workshops, and gatherings with other Junior
Civitan clubs in the district. - Junior Civitan is the only organization with a
medical research facility and the findings in
mental physical disabilities are sent to the
medical community worldwide. We make a difference
not only in our city, our state, our country but
also around the world.
Ms.
Debbie WhiteOur club raises money to help make
this possible. - We promote a friendly club atmosphere in which
ALL of the members get a say in future activities
and projects.

18Slightly Biased Quotes from Current Civitans
- "Civitan's the friendlist!" Carly Rae Zent
- I feel like I belong in Civitan. I can't express
how much fun giving back to the community is when
it's with a group of loving friends, which all
the members here quickly become. Todd (Ms.
Relay 2010) - Why do I like Civitan? it could be because of
the friends around the world I've made. It could
be because I have a lot of friends in the club.
or it could be because I like knowing that money
raised for Civitan goes to help children with
disabilities at the Civitan Research Center.
Nate - I saw how Civitan was a very close-knit group of
people who shared the goal of being the best
people they can be while trying to MAKE THE WORLD
A BETTER PLACE, and I decided that that was what
I wanted to be a part of. -Harvey
