• They were nomads who moved from place to place on

• They harvested nuts and picked fruit.

They lived in tepees that were guarded by dogs
and wolves.And travled in travois. they were
also excellent horsemen.

• The Mandans stayed in one place, unlike the
  Kiowas.
• They lived in lodges made of earth covered in
  grass.

• They hunted buffalo, wolves, and fish.
• They would hide wolves skin to creep up on
  buffalo, and then they would kill them.
• They used both talking and sign language
