Paper cups Some chart papers

Roll a number of smaller tubes from the chart
papers and stack these inside the larger paper
cup until no more can be packed

The outer cup represents the lungs and the inner
tubes represent the oxygen absorbing tissues
inside the lungs.

The surface covered by the model may seem small
on the table, but should we undo the model we
have created and spread all the papers flat on
the surface of the table. We shall get a fair
idea of oxygen absorbing surface in our lungs.
