- After reading the following selection, we will
identify all of the nouns. Then we will rewrite
it, adding adjectives before every noun.
5Ken and his friend, Luke, were out on Halloween.
Their bags were almost full. Suddenly, Luke
stopped. Im not going into that house! he
said. Why not? My sister told me its
haunted. Luke shook his head. I dont want to
see ghosts. Get real! said Ken. There are no
such thing as ghosts.
6Oh, no? Whats that? Luke pointed to a shadow
on the porch of the house. Kens eyes widened.
It looks like a ghost. The shadow moved. It
came down the steps. A moan seemed to come from
its head. The boys were too scared to move. The
shape came closer. It shouted, Boo! and ripped
off its sheet. It laughed and laughed because it
wasnt a ghost at all. It was Lukes sister,
Laurie.
