- It was a great way to first meet the other EL
students from the other schools - Great but WAY too hot. I could have done more if
it werent so hot - Fun! Do more intense climbing activities.
- Great team building
- It really helped me learn about other EL members
- Good experience to get to know the kids from the
other schools - I wish we didnt do it the first day. It was fun
for me. - More time in other rope courses
- I couldnt do everything bc of my broken arm, but
was grateful for the support of the group. I
still at least tried most of the activities - I loved doing that, It made me trust my teammates
and gave me confidence - Enjoyed meeting new people
- Awesome!!
- I really enjoy stuff like that
- It was fun getting to know others before learning
with them - Im glad we were split from our high school
groups - I love doing rope course but dont get many
chances to do them

- I enjoyed the reading about Thomas Cannon but
some of the other readings dragged along - Informative but hard to read since it is summer
- The readings were a bit boring but the Bb
discussions were a good idea, but a bit much for
summer HW - Very enlightening
- Not my favorite but a learning experience
- The discussions were very interesting
- Some of the questions didnt seem very
thought-provoking. I did like how the staff
sometimes commented - I loved the Bb and the readings about people, not
so much the textbook readings - Enjoyed the readings, not Bb
- Kind of boring and no one wants HW in the summer
- Similar answers made it uninteresting
- It was a good way to communicate and discuss
after class - Im a slow readerIll try to improve though!!
- Didnt enjoy having homework over the summer
- Readings were great! Bb discussion slowly
declined - I wasnt home enough to do them
- Great discussions/ Very informing
- I learned how to use Bb
- Forgot to keep up with it

- I liked being put into different groups because
it allowed up to get to know everyone - Pretty open, which is good!
- Some lectures seemed too long
- More hands-on activities would have been nice
- I liked the routine that we followed each day
- It was a good mixture of lectures and games
- Some of the activities seemed a little
repetitive, but I enjoyed the discussions - We kept moving form one thing to anotherit was
really organized - Glad to have structure, not just chaos
- Mostly fun, interactive, interesting discussion
- Every day was awesome
- The breaks worked wellmoving from one room to
the next. Different activities, etc. - Lunch scheduling was hectic
- It was structured
- Good schedule
- Hard to commit to
- Kept on schedule
- Never got to spend time with some people because
we were split up a lot - We were there for a long time

the ideas to real life - They all worked so hard and were never boring
- Everyone was really great, I felt lucky to have
Dr. Shields and Jessica and Eric were great

- I enjoyed learning from the EL staff and I felt
they were enthusiastic. I enjoyed getting to know
them. - What they said was always related to the topic,
it was more like a Socratic Seminar with us

new ideas, Mrs. Reid kept things fun, Jessica was
really nice and I like talking to her and Eric
was pretty cool and thought up good points - Everyone was really great

- I really enjoyed it. The program has motivated
and inspired me to do more to help and lead
others - I loved having Jessica and Eric bc they brought
a younger vibe and easily made what could have
been something boring exciting - Thanks!!
