- DEP Small Business Advantage Grant one time per
year 50 match up to 7,500 - Projects that reduce energy consumption, promote
pollution prevention and increase a companys
bottom line. - New guidelines usually summer money goes very
quickly
13PA Energy Efficiency Loans
- The Sustainable Energy Fund can provide flexible
loan terms statewide for energy efficiency
projects, and structure debt repayment around
energy savings. - Will take subordinate lien positions.
- Can be matched with grant programs (e.g. lighting
rebate), and other loan programs. - Minimum loan amount 10,000- Maximum of
1,000,000. - Will do 100 short term construction loans until
permanent financing in place - Will fund LEED Certified Construction projects

- DEPs Pollution Prevention Assistance Account

- 2 interest rate, fixed for up to 10 years

- Will fund up to 5,000 of LEED certification
process to get a building LEED certified.

- Keystone Help Loans up to 35,000 for
residential energy efficiency improvements, up to
10 years. - Only qualified contractors can participate.

- DEP Comes out one time per year to provide
grant funds for eligible projects - Maximum grant of 500,000
- Must find a non-profit sponsor
- Targets energy and environmental concerns
- Schools are eligible
19PA Energy Independence Strategy
- 650 million in PA designed to increase the use
of alternative energy, improve energy efficiency,
and reduce energy consumption. - To date Wind and Solar programs have been
designed, geothermal, and DEPs Small Business
Energy Efficiency Program are all a part of this
legislation.

- Partner with vendors to provide multiple energy
solutions - Identification of funding resources (grants and
loans) to buy down cost - Financial Packaging / Underwriting of certain
loans/grants - 1 fee for all financial packaging and
grantwriting. - Maintain contact with appropriate public
officials on projects.
21CAN DO/ Friedman Partnership
- Preparing for 2010
- Friedman completes energy audit demonstrating
reduced kwh usage / cost savings - CAN DO develops funding proposal and submits
applications on behalf of clients. - Contractor implements.
- Specifically targeting small business clients
because of funding availability.
