• C flew up to Olympus
• C made sure his mom Venus will not give them any
  more trouble
• So he went strait to Jupiter

• Youngest of three king daughters
• Fame of her beauty spread over Earth
• All men loved her
• Venus herself could not equal her

• Venus gets jealous of Psyche
• Venus gets son to make Psyche fall in love with
  a ugly creature
• Plan does not work
• Cupid falls in love with Psyche.

• P cant fall in love with no one else because C
  cast a spell on her
• P is sad and feels like no one wants her
• Was disturbing to P parents

Psyche

• P parents travel to Oracle of Apollo to ask how
  to get a good husband for P.
• Apollo said that P should dress in mournful
  clothes.
• She must be on top of the hill and be left alone
• On top of the hill there should soon be a husband
  awaiting her.

• P parents took her to the top of the hill and
  left her alone
• P sat on the hill so lonesome, waiting for she
  knew not what terror
• There she wept and trembled, soon came a breath
  of air and carrying her off to a grassy meadow.

• P woke up beside the river and mansion and
  thought it was for a god
• She saw no one there but could here voices
• Voices said they were her servants ready to do
  whatever you desire

• Everything they had at the mansion P said it was
  very delightful.
• Throughout the day she had the companionship of
  the voices but still alone
• She felt at ease knowing she will soon have a
  husband

• Ps unseen husband warned her the danger of
  upcoming of her 2 sisters
• So she had to stay away from them
• She was thinking of leaving
• Husband told her she is basically making a big
  mistake

• She agreed to stay with him in one condition to
  see her sisters
• Happily he agreed to let her see her sisters
• She got to see them but soon envy took over the
  sisters when they saw the mansion and magnificent
  stuff.

• Of course P kept faith
• But still when the sisters left their hearts
  were filled with envy
• The envy in the sisters was so much that they
  plotted to ruin her

• Ps husband warned her again to not let her
  sisters come over
• She didnt listen
• When her sisters asked her how her husband looked
  like they were for sure she hasnt even seen him

• Sisters told her that they had a suspicion that
  her husband was fearful serpent and would devour
  her
• P felt terror instead of love
• If he was not horrible to look at then he was
  cruel to be in hiding from her.

• She agreed with her sisters and begged them for
  their advice
• The 2 sisters that she should kill him when he is
  a sleep
• When she is done they will be near by to help her
  with the body

• Of course she still loves him
• All day she had mixed thoughts about killing her
  husband
• At night she got a lamp and tiptoed and saw him
• She was relieved to see the sweetest face and not
  a monsters face

• Mother is Venus
• C has to make P fall in love with a ugly creature
• Instead he falls in love with P

• C told Apollo the whole story about falling in
  love with P
• So he asked for Apollos help
• C set it up to where P has to go up to the hill
  so he can become her husband

• C got P to go to the hill
• He soon became her husband
• C would never show his face to P

• One night when P was going to kill him he had
  awoken by the hotness of the candle wax
• He saw her and fled away
• With a voice he said who he was and sadly said
  farewell

• He told P that if he couldnt trust him then she
  couldnt love him
• P found out that he was the god of love
• While P was looking for C, he went to his
  mothers house to fix up his wounds

• Venus heard the story on how P mad her son angry
  by not trusting him
• This made her mad also its because this is the
  person who she most envys the most
• Venus was determine to make P life very bad

• C mom came face to face with P
• C mom said P ruined her sons life and almost
  killed him
• C mom gave her a cruel command to sort out the
  heap

• Mom checked on C and he was in the chamber
  suffering from his wounds
• C mom was pleased on how things were turning out
• C mom making P do many task

• This one task that C mom gave P was dangerous
• A eagle helped P with this task
• C was this eagle who helped her

• When P opened the box that Proserpine had given
  her mad her go to sleep
• Cupid(god of love) came to rescue P
• C was healed from his wounds and was ready for P

• It was difficult for C to keep Love away
• C mom had locked the doors to keep C locked in
  and away from P but there were ways
• All C had to was go through the window and fly to
  look for her

• C found laying right beside the house
• C wiped the sleep from her eyes and put it back
  into the box
• C woke her up with a prick of his arrow and got
  mad at her for her curiosity

• So the gods agreed to make Venus not make
  trouble for them
• They also announced that Cupid and Psyche were
  formally married
• Mercury brought P into the palace of gods and
  Jupiter gave her ambrosia and made her immortal
