Studies (Ford PAS)?
  • Academically rigorous, standards-based curriculum
  • Program that creates dynamic partnerships between
    high schools, higher education, business, and the
    community
  • Taught in high school
  • Links classroom learning with the challenges of
    post-secondary education and the expectations of
    the workplace

  • Declining number of young people pursuing careers

  • Shrinking pool of qualified applicants to

What Does Ford PAS Look Like?
  • 2-1/2 year elective sequence that begins in
    either the freshman or sophomore year of high
    school
  • Consists of 5 semester-long courses
  • Each course composed of 3 modules, each 6 weeks
    long
  • Created as a flexible program can be used
    in-school, after-school, or as a summer program
    full curriculum or individual courses or modules
