- Academically rigorous, standards-based curriculum
- Program that creates dynamic partnerships between
high schools, higher education, business, and the

- Declining number of young people pursuing careers
in math, science, engineering, and technology - Shrinking pool of qualified applicants to
college, universities, and business that rely on
a skilled, well-prepared workforce - Need to increase college access and success among
under-represented students
4What Does Ford PAS Look Like?
- 2-1/2 year elective sequence that begins in
either the freshman or sophomore year of high
school - Consists of 5 semester-long courses
- Each course composed of 3 modules, each 6 weeks
long - Created as a flexible program can be used
in-school, after-school, or as a summer program
