Overview
- Members can actively participate in association
activities through membership in over 100
chapters throughout the world. - AGA members are represented at the national level
by a Regional Vice President and by their Chapter
President, both of whom serve on AGAs National
Board of Directors (NBD).

Overview
- The 15-member elected National Executive
Committee (NEC) is tasked with ensuring the
policies and objectives of the Association are
implemented in accordance with the directors of
the Board of Directors. - Each national officer of the Association is
selected based on nominations made by chapters
and individual members, so that they represent
member needs to the fullest.

Overview
- Daily operations are handled by a full-time staff
located in Alexandria, Virginia under the
direction of an Executive Director who reports to
the National Executive Committee. - More than 300 members serve on AGA volunteer
committees. These committees participate in a
variety of activities that assist the NBD, NEC
and National President in carrying out the
programs and operations of the Association.

developing conferences and educational and
training workshops, commenting on legislation,
and promoting community service. - Active participation in an AGA chapter and
national committee can lead to important
volunteer leadership positions within AGA.
