APPEARANCE

• I have light brown fur that matches the plants
  undergrowth
• I have long ears to hear well
• I have strong back legs

Food Source

• I mainly eat plants
• I like grasses, young plants, and seeds

Avoiding Predators

• I gather my food early in the morning late in
  the afternoon
• I use my long ears to listen for predators
• I freeze when Im in danger
• My fur blends in with my surroundings

Home

• I make a nest in the dry grass
• In the Marsh I build my nest away from the water

Raising young

• Since I am a mammal I have live young
• My babies are born pink with little fur
• My babies stay in the nest until they are big
  enough to learn to gather food

• I am called a Cottontail because my tail is white
  fluffy like a cottonball
• I can hop away from my predators
