Title: Literacy Dynamics

1
Literacy Dynamics
Carol Tucker, a life long educator, believes
that all children can learn if given instruction
that is suitable to their style of learning and
the manner that they best learn.   Through her
intense research, Ms. Tucker has developed to
guide to enable parents to connect to the souls
of their child and understand who the child is
and how the individual child best functions in
their world.

Literacy Dynamics
  • Literacy Dynamics is a educational consulting
    organization.
  • We address issues that address causes of chaos
    in the classroom.
  • Chaos as a developing disease, spreads from
    classrooms, into living rooms, work
    environments, our  communities and neighborhoods,
into our society  and our world.
  • If you are a parent, teacher, school
    administrator, guidance counselor
student/academic coach, this question is for
    you.
  • Is there CHAOS IN THE CLASSROOM ?

MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE
  • Supports all gifts of the human mind

4
What is Natural Intelligence?
  • Each person is unique. No one else thinks just
like you, acts just like you, or has the same
identical talents you have. We all have a
blueprint of special gifts to give others that no
    one else has.
  • These special gifts are expressed through your
eight (8) natural intelligences. Most people are
strong in three (3) or four (4) of these
intelligences. By knowing which areas you are
strong in, you are able to identify what your
    special skills and abilities are.
  • Many people think of success in terms of our
    linguistic and logical-mathematical abilities.
What about people who sing or dance well? Or
those who can act, invent things, lead people or
have a good intuition? According to Howard
Gardner, a professor of education at Harvard
University, we are all smart in the following
    areas

Remember
  • When applying to youth and teens, it is
important to consider the growth and
    developmental stages of the brain.

Literacy Dynamics
A new child is here! Whether a product of
society or the spirit of the universe, this
individual is here.  They are strong willed and
demand that we 'deal with them'.

Universal Lifes Goal
  • Ultimately it is the responsibility of our
    educational system to
  • ensure that students successfully immerge from
its classrooms, equipped with abilities and
capabilities that will contribute to the Universe
    in a positive way
  • ?
  • By supporting natural intelligences, we
encourage students, as they become adults, to
fulfill their lifes mission and purpose
  • ?
  • The Result?
  • A positive, productive individual, family,
    community, country and Universe

33
Lets Ask Some Real Questions
  • Who benefits from a multiple intelligence
    evaluation and assessment?
  • Students, teachers, administrators. All of us.
  • What impact could multiple intelligence
evaluations and assessments have in the life of
    a student, a teacher, a parent?
  • Creates mutual respect and understanding between
    individuals.
  • When does the concept of multiple intelligences
    apply?
  • School, home, work place, social settings
  • Where could multiple intelligence evaluations
    and assessments
  • be useful?
  • Any aspect of life.
  • Why are multiple intelligence evaluations and
    assessments important?
  • Supports each individual intelligence equally
    !!
  • How could multiple intelligence evaluations and
    assessments improve a classroom setting?
  • Students would more likely be turned on, rather
    than turned off.
