To help in the search for the elusive paperless
office, we have incorporated an Email facility
into Roadrunner to allow any printable item to be
sent via email. This will reduce paper wastage,
save on cost and reduce the time taken for
documents to reach their destination.

In a world of technology many people prefer the
Graphical User Interface (GUI) interface, we have
developed a tool which combines the use of a
mouse, click on buttons, drop down menus and user
defined reports to connect to a stable operating
system. To an operations person the ability to
have many diaries open showing different types or
depots of work will be invaluable. It will also
allow user interaction to change diary layouts,
format enquiries and reports.

"ROADRUNNER" for Windows
Roadrunner for windows (RFW) is a single user
management system for smaller haulage companies.
The software enables operators to input all
their regular data- customers, drivers,
sub-contractors, vehicles and trailers. It will
produce paperwork for drivers including job
sheets and PODs, produce vehicle costs and
follow your work all the way through to automatic
production of invoices. But the unique selling
point is RFW use of the Internet. RFW users can
advertise and bid for back-loads at Roadrunner On
Line. It is thought to be the first road
transport software available directly from the
Internet.

"ROADRUNNER" Internet EDI
Roadtech have launched Roadrunner Internet EDI
an eagerly awaited new program which allows your
customers to book work directly onto your Traffic
system using just the Internet. This new advance
in communications is of special benefit to
hauliers and their customers who want to minimise
the time spent arranging collections and
deliveries. This exciting leap in IT efficiency
will allow jobs to be placed without the need to
make a phone call or send a fax, from single
booking to batch postings.

"ROADRUNNER" SMS
For the last six months Roadtech have been
working in conjunction with Volvo Trucks
Dynafleet 2.0 in-cab equipment. This venture is
to enable information about collections and
deliveries to be exchanged between operations
staff and the drivers. Work is currently under
way to enable the same process with mobile phones.

"ROADRUNNER" Bar Code Reading
Something that all Warehouse operations are
looking to use to enable more timely and
efficient booking in and out of stock is the use
of Barcode readers or RF (Radio Frequency)
equipment. Roadtech have modified booking in and
out screens to allow Hand held and Truck mounted
Techlogix scanners to interact with Roadrunner
Warehouse.
