  • I click on Format, Slide Design, then Color
    Schemes
  • I chose this lovely blue background
  • I am applying it ONLY TO SELECTED SLIDES, not to
    the whole thing.

I can make a TIMED slide show
  • Go to SLIDE SHOW, Set Up Show, check Browsed by
    an Individual, check Continual Looping, do only
    for the FIRST 3 slides.
  • To set TIMING, go to Slide Transition, under
    Advance slide, check AUTOMATICALLY after (set for
    0002)
  • Then go to first slide and do slide show to see
    if it works

I can PRINT 6 slides to page
  • Go to Edit, Print
  • On window that pops up, find drop-down menu where
    it says Print What?
  • Instead of printing SLIDES, you need to say print
    HANDOUT.
  • Then it lets you select how many per page

I can make a MASTER slide
  • Go to View, Master, Master Slide
  • Add a footer to ALL your slides automatically by
    typing it on the master. Click Close the master
    to see how it looks.
  • Can change font size or type in ALL slides by
    changing it here. Change all headings to 18
    font, click Close the master and see how it
    looks. Change back to 40 font before saving.

I can find pictures on the Internet and insert
them.
  • Open Internet Explorer or Mozilla
  • Go to GOOGLE.COM
  • Click on IMAGES, then Advanced Images
  • Type in information you want hit Search
  • Select an image
  • RIGHT click on image, Select COPY image
  • Click on PowerPoint slide, right click, PASTE
  • Change size and position of picture so it fits

I can insert a slide from another PowerPoint
presentation
  • Go to Insert, Slides from files, Browse to
    another presentation, select the slide you want,
    and click insert. See my example on next slide

Go to altavista.com, click on videos, find one
you want, rightclick on image, Save link as (can
save on desktop). Then open blank slide, do
Insert, Movies and Sound, Movie from file, find
it and click OK.
