• Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "I have a dream,"
  and what followed was a vision that changed a
  nation. That famous speech is a dramatic example
  of the power that can be generated by a person
  who communicates a compelling vision of the
  future.

  results to be achieved

• Used to induct staff, students, families and
  community

• Using the checklist, underline the evidence in
  the sample vision that correlates with key
  indicators
• If an indicator is implied, justify with evidence

  vision in a narrative form
• Limit to one page
• Align to the districts beliefs
• Describe a preferred state 5 years out
• Challenge the status quo
