THE GREAT DEPRESSION FACTS
Since the majority Americans blamed Hoover for
the great depression facts. Americansfelt he
previously had not done enough to alleviate the
affects on the decline. The cost-effective
crisis and each and every candidate's reply to it
was crowned defining issue of
contest between Barak Obama and John McCain in
2008.
The great depression facts
gtgtgt The most current numbers for all our latest
economic crisis report that a lot morethan 5
million consumers are unemployed. The
unemployment minute rates are at nowat 8.1 , in
line with a study released March 6, 2009. This is
actually the highestunemployment rate since
1983. Just in January of 2009, employers cut
nearly 600,000jobs, the most important lost
since 1974.
gtgtgt Roosevelt overwhelmingly won the presidency,
Obviously, John McCain did notlearn from history
as they stuck with conventional Republican wisdom
proclaiming thatthe basics from the economy were
strong and that the economy would fix itself.
Whatstarted for a close race ended using a
resolving win for Obama.

Black women entrepreneurs while in the
urban North also opened stores
andrestaurants, with modest savings ''as the
best way of securing a living'' (Boyd,
2000citing Frazier, 1949405). Called
''depression businesses,'' these marginal
enterpriseswere often classified as
proprietorships, though they tended to control
away from''houses, basements, and old
buildings''(Boyd,2000 citing Drake and
Cayton,
1945/1962454). "Food stores and eating and
drinking places were the most common ofsuch
businesses, because, whenever they failed, their
owners could still live off theirstocks." These
lenders were an absolute necessity for Black
women, as being thepreference for hiring Whites
climbed steeply over the Depression.
From the Philadelphia Public Employment Office in
1932 1933, 68 of job orders forgirls
specified "Whites Only." In Ny city, Black women
were expected to head over toseparate
unemployment offices in Harlem to search for
work. Black churches andchurch-related
institutions, an old-fashioned method of
obtaining assistance to the Blackcommunity,
were overwhelmed by the demand, throughout
the1930's. Municipal
shelters, necessary to "accept everyone," still
reported that Catholics and Dark-coloredwomen
were "particularly difficult to place."
It is difficult to resolve just one step to the
causes of economic crises as there is often
aplethora of factors involved. Disaster in a
area of the economy may cause a ripple
effectthroughout. Many factors combined to come
up with the great depression facts. In
the1920's, business was growing and the
wonderful were eager to amass wealth
quickly.However, this postwar boom encouraged
industries to make more products comparedto they
could sell, and Ww 1 left many countries reeling
from large debts and taxes. Onesimilar thing
that show up triggering the Great Depression and
our current recessionrepresents credit.
