2So What Exactly is a Frog, Anyway?
- Frogs are a kind of small animal belonging to a
group called vertebrates (animals with backbones)
known as amphibians. - Small, tailless animal
- Has long back legs and short front legs, a flat
head, and body with no neck. - Most Frogs have a sticky tongue
3The Frogs Life Cycle
4Types Of Frogs
Their are many different types of frogs,
ones that live in the mountains, the desert, in
prairies, and in the middle of a city. The
eastern frog is only 3 centimeters in size, and
has variable colors and patterns. This frog is
common around pools and gardens The eastern
Banjo Frog is about 6-8 centimeters big, and is
gray or brown. They also have a blackish marbling
with broken strips that are vertical across its
back and their sides are bronze and purple with
black outline. The Spotted Grass Frog can
grow up to 4.5 cm and is light brown or it can be
a rich olive-green. It has large slotted dots and
narrow stripes from its snout to its vent.
5Habitat
- Frogs can be found almost anywhere but not in
Antarctica - Most frogs are found in tropical or warm
regions. - Most frogs are found in ponds or streams
6Eating Habits
- Eat insects, worms, spiders, and centipede.
- Small frogs should be fed daily, abut 12 to 18
crickets per week or 2-4 per feeding. - Frogs also eat other animals, typically bugs and
worms. - Frogs help humans because they eat so many insect
pests.

One of the most common questions is, "What is the
difference between Frogs and Toads?
Most are surprised to hear that
all Toads actually are Frogs!

- Toads tend to lay eggs in long chains. (There are

for leaping and swimming - smooth or slimy skin (generally, frogs tend to
like moister environments) - Frogs tend to lay eggs in clusters.
