  • Juicing fruit and vegetables is a really
    good way to give your body a bump-start of great
    nutrition. I mentioned a few benefits in my
    previous article but wanted to build on these
    ideas. Juicing is becoming increasingly popular
    and we have begun to understand how good it can
    be, but some of the articles I have seen on my
    studies, seem to get a bit confusing. I dont
    want to hear a load of medical terms about the
    mystery of how my body works, I want to know in
    In simple terms what it does and how that
    benefits me. I like things put simply so I shall
    try to do this in the following article
  • I'm going to provide 3 good reasons why
    juicing is great for your body

  • 1. Juiced fruit and veg are more easily
    digested than whole foods meaning the goodness
    gets into your system quicker.
  • 2. When juicing, you are consuming more
    fruits and veg than you would actually eat if
    they hadn't been juiced. This means there is more
    concentrated vitamin and mineral natural goodness
    about your body.
  • 3. Detoxification Put simply, pre-prepared
    food we eat have many different types of
    chemicals such as preservatives and colourings,
    these are not natural for our body and over time
    be quite harmful to our bodies. Drinking freshly
    squeezed juice helps to clear away toxins from
    the body

Heart health and fine tuned cardiovascular
system The beneficial vitamins in Fruit and
veggies like vitamins C and E help the blood to
work efficiently and to stop it clogging up. You
may have heard of Cholesterol and Triglycerides
but basically they are the content of fat in your
blood which can cause, amongst other things,
heart disease. Blood that has health makes it run
well through the body (Cardiovascular system) and
so is great for your heart and other organs.
Vitamin C is found in most vegetables and fruits,
some more so than others. Some may be surprising,

Vitamin E can be discovered in the following

the effects of salt which can be negative which
is in a lot of our pre-packaged food. Fruit and
veg bursting in Potassium are broccoli, peas,
tomatoes, citrus fruits, cantaloupe, bananas and
apricots. Another reason why juicing is good is
because you don't take in too many natural
vitamins whereas taking supplements can be
detrimental. Magnesium is key vitamin to make the
heart work effectively and maintaining a constant
heart beat. Magnesium is found in all sorts of
fruits and berries, passion fruits dates and
bananas. when you juice, not only is there a
great source of these essential vitamins and
minerals but you can experience weight loss which
eases the strain on the vital organs.

Detoxification The liver has a lot of important
functions, such as making sure the blood is
cleansed by removing not wanted toxins
chemicals. As I mentioned before these toxins
are in most of the food we eat and are part of
everyday life and juicing helps to dilute these
toxins and chemicals and aids the body to get rid
of them. You could have heard of the nutrients I
am just about to list which all aid in
detoxifying the body by strengthening ones liver
antioxidants beta-carotene, vitamin C, vitamin E,
and N-acetyl cysteine and niacin. You will find a
rich supply of these nutrients in Lemons,
oranges and limes, Onions, carrots, artichoke,
asparagus, broccoli, cabbage, kale, brussel
sprouts, cauliflower, garlic, beet, turmeric, and
oregano.

Vegetables alkalizing the body Fruit is nearly
always acidic, to balance this it is good to
consume foods which are more alkali in nature
(such as vegetables) that is why it is best to
mix fruit and vegetables when juicing. This
process can be quite complex and requires some

It would take a long time (too much for this
article) to go into all the reasons why the
acidic PH level in your body should be less so I
have just listed a couple of reasons

and Zinc (to name a few) Vitamin A is great for
healthy teeth, soft tissue, mucous membranes,
vision and skin. Vitamin A is found in dark green
vegetables, Carrots, pumpkin, spinach,
grapefruit, apricots and broccoli all these have
beta carotene in healthy levels. Beta-carotene
(which is an antioxidant), helps to protect the
body against free radicals, which could sound
like a bunch of subversives but are actually
nasty little molecules that make you age quicker
and and contribute to chronic diseases. The good
benefits of juicing blackberries and blueberries
together will give your body with a good source
of vitamins C and E.

A lack of riboflavin (vitamin B2) can cause
cracked lips, hair loss, dermatitis, greasy
looking skin and other types of skin conditions.
Fruit Vegetables filled with Riboflavin are
Avocado, Banana, grapes, mangoes, passion fruit,
mulberries, Kale, spinach, mushrooms and
asparagus. For good healthy eyes the best
vitamin is vitamin A and specifically
beta-carotene, which is often found in orange
colored fruits and vegetables. The body converts
Beta-carotene into vitamin A. I no doubt guess
that you have heard it said that eating carrots
helps you see in the dark! well you wouldn't be a
long way from the truth, scientists have proven
that they can improve your eyesight in the dark
as vitamin A is really important for your retina
to work properly and stop night blindness.

Energy to burn off!! Juicing lots with fruit and
vegetables packed with vitamins and minerals
means ones body is filled with energy. Rather
like filling up your car with the best type of
engine oil rather than Some really poor grade
engine oil that hasnt been changed in ages!!

Losing weight Youre probably wondering when I
was going to mention this. Is this what you might
have been 'weighting' for (sorry!!) I think you
know the answer, It could well be why you have
reached this point. We all like out high fat,
sugar laden foods (Unless you're one of those
people that don't have this problem and in which
case aren't even reading this!) The thing I love
about fresh fruit and veg is the natural
sweetness, not sugar that is processed but
natural and brings health. I'm really wanting to
