2 Christianity
Jesus Christ (4BC-AD30) was teaching and
performing miracles. And he took punishment for
our sins. Jesus Christ holy son of
god Christianity is Monotheism worshipping only
one god. It was noticed in spread around it is
one to the well known religions. The Holy Bible
Is our Holy Book. Another principle Christians
follow is to tell about God, Jesus, and lessons
and virtues we should live by.
3 Buddhism Siddhartha Gautama, finally got
out of the palace and observing around his
people. He saw an old man on the streets,
suffering. And also looked at a monk that was
meditating that had nothing, and was in peace.
And wanted to know that reason why. So that began
his quest. He is also known as the Enlightened
One as in his name. Buddhas birthday is April
8. The basic principles in Buddhism is to achieve
Enlightment, and so by the Four Noble Truths and
the Eightfold Path. . It mostly spread Southeast
Asia, including Japan, China , North and South
Korea.
4Islam
Muhammad meditated and had a vision. He told
the people the visions of God that he had been
contacted through. Muhammad is the founder of
this religion. Muhammad means Praised One. Then
the Caliphs carried his mission after his
death. Islam goes by monotheism. By only
worshipping God. They worship Muhammad by him
being one of the important teachers along with
Jesus, Abraham, and Moses. And they go by the
Pillars of Islam. Their Holy Book is the
Quran. It majority spread towards South Asia.
5Judaism
- Abraham, in the country of Ur heard a voice
telling him to take his family and flocks and
follow where it would lead him. - Abraham was the founding father of Judaism .Jacob
the father of the 12 tribes of lsrael . Moses
freed Hebrew slaves from Egypt. - They have a certain code of monotheism they go by
of custom, to go by the right path.
6Hinduism
- The religious belief of the Aryans.
- They are Polytheistic there ruler are Brahma, the
creator ,Shiva ,the destroyer Vishnu, the
preserver. - Dharma is the order of the universe.
- The Ganges River is to purify their sins.
- World oldest religion.
The Rig Veda is the Holy Book for Hinduism.
7Confucianism
- Confucianisms creator is Kung Fu-Tzu of China.
Also Known as Master Kung, as a teacher. He also
gave advice to rulers, and lived during the Chou
dynasty. - He taught how there must be order in the world
and in life, or there would trouble during your
life. And you should respect everyone you meet. - Confucianism had spread by a man that was also a
follower, Mencius that spread to China, and many
years later North America, too. - Confucianism is only a philosophy, but one of the
most three great religions of China.
8Taoism
- Laozi was the founder of Taoism and also known as
a teacher. A student would call him Laozi, the
Master of Tao. - Taoism at the time one of the three great
religions of China. - Taoism which meaning the way or path. And the
basic principle is simplicity is the truth and
freedom. - The sign of the Yin/Yang is important to the
Taoists because it represents light and dark
masculine and feminine life and death day and
night sun and moon and strong and weak.
