• Overview
• Our goal was to develop a presentation production
  tool that simplifies the rapid development of
  high-quality online course materials.
• The production tool has increased faculty
  involvement in production of online and
  computer-enhanced courses
• One online course produced with these tools is
  currently underway, and several more are under
  construction for the online Masters degree
  program.

Online Course Production Tools

• Presentations can be created easily from office,
  home, classroom or studio.

Any web-viewable graphics can be used, so
existing presentation materials can be made into
new online presentations. Works with most video
and audio sources, so equipment requirements are
minimal.

  online presentation quickly and easily

• Presentation features
• All windows are linkable, and links can change
  over the course of the presentation.
• Outline area highlights the current topic, and
  allows viewers to jump directly to any topic.
• Tips region underneath the slide can be used
  for additional material, advertising, links or
  announcements.
• The presentation layout can be changed so the
  presentation can be repackaged for other
  purposes.

DSP for Practicing Engineers

• Georgia Tech is offering an introductory DSP
  course for practicing engineers created using the
  presentation construction tools.
• Course features
• There are three parallel tracks DSP theory,
  practical design issues, and labs
• The course uses the DSP First approach
  practical and theoretic elements are taught
  together
• Students use the TI C6x DSK to implement
  laboratory exercises
• Multiple instructors give a broad-based
  introduction to all aspects of DSP theory and
  practice.

DSP for Practicing Engineers
Presentation materials are delivered on CD-ROM,
and the course is controlled centrally through
WebCT.
