What is.?
  • Certificate/Diploma generally one to three year
    programs designed for those who want to develop
    or upgrade skills in a specific area without
    necessarily proceeding towards a three or four
    year degree program.
  • Degree generally a 3 or 4 year baccalaureate
    program possible leading to further studies or
    advanced degrees.
  • Apprenticeship formal agreement between an
    individual who wants to learn and an employer who
    needs a skilled worker and is an earning while
    learning arrangement for a required term.
  • Continuing Education non-credit personal and
    professional development courses. In some
    cases courses may be applied toward further
    studies.
  • Distance Education degree courses without
    attending on-campus classes. Provides flexibility
    in study schedule for those students who choose
    to study independently
  • Co-operative Education provides eligible
    students the opportunity to alternate semesters
    of academic study with semesters of paid work
    experience.
