James Kauff is a licensed clinical social worker
who has been offering his services to the mental
health care field for over 25 years. He is also a
member of National Association of Social Workers.
In 1987, he received his Masters Degree in Social
Work from Adelphi University School of Social
Work which is located at Garden City, New York.
In addition to this, he also holds a Psychology
degree and a Minor Degree in Communication
Arts. James Kauff is a professionally educated,
motivated, articulate, enthusiastic person who
knows how to deal with people effectively. He has
great inter-personal skills and has maintained a
good rapport amongst his clients.

He has excellent communication skills which has
helped him throughout his 17 years of consistent
employment at the North Star Centre. He shows
effective and responsible leadership qualities in
the areas of rehabilitation therapy, individual
and family group therapies. He offers extensive
training to elderly clients in social skills and
activities of daily living. Besides this, he
planned and implemented recreational and
socialization programs for rehabilitation and
currently, he provides individual family and
group counseling. James Kauff works for North
Star Centre and his extensive experience includes
counseling couples, families and individuals.He
offers psychotherapy to those people who suffer
from different types of psychological disorders
including anxiety, depression, stress and more.

His specific interests include working with
children of single parent families as well as
geriatric clients. In addition, he also treats
those people who suffer from schizophrenia,
eating disorders, addictions and substance
abuse.James also volunteers for the American
Cancer Society which was founded in 1913 by 15
businessmen and physicians in NYC. Its main
office is situated at the American Cancer Society
Center located in Atlanta, Georgia. He not only
served ACS but also worked with Big Brothers and
Big Sisters of America. This organization is a
non-profit organization that believes in
providing help to children in reaching their
potential with the help of professional support
and one-to-one relationships with mentors.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is counted amongst the
oldest and the biggest youth mentoring
organizations in the US and the organization
mentors children of all ages in communities
throughout the country. James Kauffs outside
interests include most sports especially Baseball
and Basketball. His other interests include
theatre, music and concerts. James Kauff also has
experience in the area of sports reporting for a
major cable outlet.
