• STRUCTURE
• Network of thin tubes and filaments (Made of
  Protein) that crisscrosses the cytosol
• Made up of Microfilaments, Microtubules and
  Intermediate Filaments

• FUNCTION
• Gives shape to the cell(like the inside of a
  tent)
• Plays important roles in intracellular transport
  Act as internal tracks (for examplethe movement
  of vesicles and organelles)
• Cellular division.

MICROTUBULES

• STRUCTURE
• Hollow tubes made of coiled tubulin (a type of
  protein)
• Two subunits
• Alpha and Beta Tubulin
• Radiate outward from the centrosome near the
  nucleus

• FUNCTION
• Chromosome Movement(Cell Division)
• Hold organelles in place and assists in organelle
  movement
• Cell Motility Make up Cilia and Flagella
• Maintains cells shape
